Program Note

I was inspired to write Warning Music while reading a list of some humorous warning labels that manufacturers had placed on their products. Perhaps the companies were afraid of being sued or had added them because someone actually did dry their cat in the microwave. Ridiculous as they seem, the labels are nonetheless a unique libretto and are a quirky critique of our society. (Just don’t try to eat your program afterwards.)
